2009 Annual Recreation Workshop
May 4-9, 2009
“Grace in this Place”

General Information
The Annual Recreation Workshop is an amazing five-day experience of the arts, recreation, and creative worship which takes place in Montreat, NC.
The 2009 workshop, directed by Neil Myer, is designed for church leaders, educators, pastors, and anyone interested in developing more creative leadership skills in ministry settings. Each participant can select courses in recreation leadership, worship design, ministries with all ages of people, and creative arts and spirituality. Each course, along with the whole group worship and recreation events, will give those who come a myriad of resources to use in local ministry settings. ARW is also a wonderful opportunity for personal spiritual renewal and re-creation.
ARW is connected to the Presbyterian Church (USA) and welcomes all denominations to participate in the workshops. The workshop is designed for lay and professional leaders from all aspects of the church’s ministry.
In addition to the two nine-hour courses you select, the following activities are included to complete your ARW experience:
- Daily creative and Reformed worship with inspirational singing
- Fun evening events full of program and leadership ideas
- Bookstore, loaded with books and other resources
- Barn dance with live music and great dancing
