As Montreat Conference Center looks to the future, we are continually challenged to meet the fundraising goals that make this vibrant ministry possible. We do this through the Montreat Endowment Campaign and the Montreat Conference Center Annual Fund.
Why does Montreat need your financial support? Here are two amazing facts to consider:
- Montreat receives NO FUNDING from the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
- Last year only 81 churches of the 1500+ church groups who visited Montreat contributed to the Annual Fund.
The Annual Fund continues to be our #1 fundraising priority, and this year we must raise $800,000 to maintain the life-changing ministry Montreat provides. We continue to increase our unrestricted Annual Fund goal each year in order to replace the absence of any General Assembly support and to ensure that Montreat’s conferences and facilities are of the highest caliber and affordable for all.
If you are a “Patron” of Montreat Conference Center who gives annually, thank you for your continued support. If you are not a Patron, please ask yourself “why not?” We need your help to meet this year’s Annual Fund goal of $800,000.

In June of 2007, the Montreat Endowment Campaign exceeded its goal of $20 million. Counting current gifts, pledges, and deferred gifts, Montreat Conference Center’s endowment has surpassed $22 million. Considering Montreat’s endowment was just over $2 million only 3 years ago, this is a tremendous accomplishment.

In addition, during the busy summer season, over 300 volunteers help the Montreat staff and guests. Many of them continue to offer their valuable services year-round. Our volunteers are a vital part of the continued success of the conference center.
