Supporting Montreat
Church Partners
With the caring support of many, Montreat’s financial turnaround is continuing. At fiscal year-end on April 30, 2008, a record $813,000 was contributed to the Montreat Conference Center Annual Fund with $216,000 coming from our Church Partners.
We rejoice at this success, but we continue to strive toward our goal of $1 million annually to support our Annual Fund. This fiscal year, which runs from May 1, 2008, to April 30, 2009, our goal for the Annual Fund is $850,000. To reach that goal and move Montreat’s ministry into the future, the direct financial support of churchs and presbyteries is crucial.
Because lodging and conference fees cover only a portion of the $6.2 million needed to operate the conference center, the Annual Fund must provide about 14% of operating funds for Montreat to meets its budget.
