The Faith and Human Development educator certification course is an intensive course that explores historical and contemporary theories of human psychological and faith development. Participants will apply these theories to teaching people of all ages in the church. Theories for human and faith development and their application will be organized around the significant movements of the Christian Life from Baptism to Confirmation to Church Triumphant.

Program Begins: Tuesday, April 28 at 9:00 am
Program Ends: Wednesday, April 29 with lunch

Rates & Registration

Comprehensive Rate

Comprehensive rates below include conference fee, room in Glen Rock Inn (Monday and Tuesday nights), meals in the Galax Dining Room (Monday supper through Wednesday lunch), plus a community services fee per adult for public services provided by the Town and the fire district. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.  After March 13, rates will increase by $25. If you would like to extend your stay, please contact the registrar at SusanA@montreat.org or call 828.419.9829.

  • Single Occupancy, Private Bath: $325.00
  • Double Occupancy, Private Bath: 270.00 per person ($540.00 total)
Commuter Rate

Rates below include conference fee of $150 plus a $2 community services fee per person for public services provided by the Town and the fire district.

  • On or before March 13: $152 per person
  • After March 13: $177 per person
Scholarships

Scholarships are available for this conference.

Refund Policy

Cancellations must be received by March 13 in order to receive a full refund less a $25 service charge. Cancellations received after March 13, but on or before April 13 will receive a 50% refund of the conference fee and payments made toward room and meal charges (if applicable), less $40. No refunds will be issued after April 13. All requests must be made in writing and received via email, fax, or U.S. mail.
