Weddings

Montreat Conference Center is a special place for many people, and we are happy to serve as a simplistic venue for wedding ceremonies and receptions. When considering Montreat as a venue, you will find that we offer minimal options in an extraordinary setting. We only have one type of chair, tablecloth, and table per location, but we’ll be glad to set those out for you to dress up any way you choose; most wedding parties elect to utilize third party rental companies for equipment. 


Venues

Please read the available dates of each venue before inquiring: none of our venues are available in the summer, and some are not winterized. We do not have outdoor ceremony or reception spaces.

The Barn

$1500 | Seats 150

With space for 150 people and a floor made for dancing, the Barn offers unique and rustic charm. If you’re looking for rustic-chic, consider the Barn to be your blank canvas. The dark steel support beams in the ceiling make an excellent backdrop for twinkling lights and even chandeliers (BYOC, am I right?). Unfortunately, the Barn does not have central heat or air conditioning, but it does have a big industrial fan to keep the party going until your guests tucker out. Or, until 11pm, whichever comes first.
The Barn is available April-May and August-October; inquire for specific dates.

 

Upper Anderson

$2,500 | Seats 120

A separate room from the main auditorium, Upper Anderson is our most popular wedding/reception location. People love the stone details and windows lining the walls. With an ample stage and built-in audio-visual, you will have all that you need for any type of entertainment, from your niece with an iPod to a small orchestra. Access to a small kitchen with warming ovens and refrigeration will keep your caterer happy, too.
Upper Anderson is available August-May, inquire for specific dates.

 

Anderson Auditorium

$10,000 | Seats 1200 | Ceremony Only

Big, stone buildings tend to speckle the landscape here in Montreat, but Anderson Auditorium is perhaps the most favored. Playing host to thousands of thought-provoking speakers, wild and fun energizers, and formative faith conversations over the years, there is no doubt that this place is special. We haven’t hosted many weddings in the main auditorium, but if you have up to 1,200 guests and need a place to get married, we’re here for you!

Assembly Inn

$50,000* | Hosts up to 250

Nearly 100 years old and hosting up to 250 guests, Assembly Inn is a marvelous stone structure with picturesque views, and it would make the perfect backdrop for your special day. Something about Assembly Inn causes guests to feel relaxed and at home, all the while, providing an elegant setting. Assembly Inn contains all of the needed building blocks of a wedding, a one-stop shop, if you will. Whether you pack in your custom third party rentals or keep everything as-is, you’ll not find another place quite like this to host your event.

Assembly Inn is rarely available, primarily only in the winter months; inquire for specific dates.

Guest Accommodations

Typically hosts choose to offer out of town guests the suggestion to stay in a block of rooms in the historic Assembly Inn. Close to the action of your special day, Assembly Inn is within walking distance of all our venue options.
