Located at the heart of Montreat Conference Center overlooking Lake Susan, the historic and newly renovated Assembly Inn has 100 guest rooms and accommodates groups of up to 200 guests in single and double occupancy rooms, as well as one apartment and one deluxe suite. All rooms have either one king bed, one queen bed, or two twin beds. While some guest rooms have private baths and others have connecting baths, all baths are tiled and equipped with tubs and showers. Standard guest rooms do not have TV’s, phones, refrigerators, or microwaves. Flexible meal packages are available, visit our dining page for more information.

Lodges
The lodges in this section are winterized and have a variety of conveniences. Most are handicap accessible and all are centrally located in our campus.
Winsborough

Located just across the lake from Assembly Inn, Winsborough is a charming stone lodge with simple, yet comfortable accommodations for groups of 20-50 people. Guest rooms in the Winsborough range from single to quadruple occupancy, with a mix of twin, twin bunks, and/or double beds. Most rooms are attached via a connecting bath, sometimes called a “Jack and Jill” style bath. The lobby houses a piano and flexible seating options. There is a small studio apartment sized kitchen inside one of the guest rooms and a shared utility room with refrigerator, sink, and coffee maker. We recommend that groups staying in Winsborough work with us to design a flexible meal package for your stay. Winsborough is not air-conditioned.

Glen Rock Inn is set back from the road, shaded by mountain laurel and quieted by the nearby creek. Glen Rock Inn has a certain "country charm" and offers single and double occupancy rooms with connecting baths. The inn is air-conditioned. Since Glen Rock Inn features a fully-equipped kitchen, guests may choose to cook their own meals or arrange a flexible meal package in the nearby Galax Dining Room.
The Glen Rock Apartment is detached from the main inn and sleeps up to 8 guests in four bedrooms. It features a full kitchen and cable television.

Reynolds Lodge

Reynolds Lodge is one of our most popular lodges for groups in Montreat. The lodge features two communal bathrooms with three toilets and showers each. Each guest room has its own individually controlled air conditioning unit, and the lodge features a large common space for meetings and dining. There is a fully equipped kitchen. Additionally, there is a working stone fireplace, cable television, and a rocking chair porch.

Hickory Lodge

Hickory Lodge is a quaint, centrally located cabin in Montreat. The wood paneling and outdoor picnic area give Hickory a rustic feel, while the updated windows and kitchen provide modern comforts to our guests staying there. The lodge features two communal bathrooms with two toilets and showers each. The lodge features a cozy common space for meetings and dining, and an attached picnic shelter with a working wood stove. There is a fully equipped kitchen.

Walnut

Walnut Cottage is a quaint but convenient lodging location that is perfect for a small group gathering or a personal Sabbath. Walnut has a woodsy cottage feel with hardwood flooring, solid wood paneling, and old house charm. There are also the modern comforts of WiFi and cable TV. Walnut sleeps up to 7 people in 2 bedrooms, each with one double bed, plus 1 single and 1 king bed in a semi-private common area of the lower part of the house. There are 2 bathrooms, a kitchen stocked with the tools and utensils to cook and serve a meal, and a laundry room. Air-conditioned.

Reserve a 2025 Campsite
The Montreat Campground is nestled among hardwoods, laurels, and rhododendrons alongside Graybeard Stream. Each camp site has a picnic table, fire pit, and grill. Electrical or water hookups are not available; however, water spigots are close to each campsite and two bathhouses provide campers with hot water, showers, toilets, and electrical outlets. Sites are available seven days a week from May 2, 2025, through November 2, 2025.
