If you are registering for the conference only, the remainder of your conference fees minus the $100 per participant deposit will be due by April 15, 2024.

If you are staying in Montreat Conference Center Housing — Assembly Inn, Winsborough, or Glen Rock Inn — $50 of your original $100 deposit was used to secure your housing and the other $50 was applied toward your conference fee. Your balance due on April 15 for each participant will be the conference fee minus $50. Please note: an additional amount for housing and meals is due (payable to Montreat Conference Center) when you arrive at Montreat.

If you are staying in Montreat College Housing — Anderson, Howerton, or McGregor — we send $50 of your original $100 deposit to Montreat College to secure your housing and the other $50 was applied to your conference fee. Your balance due on April 1 for each participant will be the conference fee minus $50. Please note: the balance due for housing and meals will be due to Montreat College 30 days before you arrive. You can pay online at montreat.edu/summerhousing or mail a check (payable to Montreat College).

60-day Deadline for Cancellations

All changes to conference registrations must be submitted using the "Additions/Cancellations" form. You can find this form by clicking "Group Additions/Cancellations" on the Youth Conference Registration Form. To complete the form, please include the number of people you are registering/cancelling. If you are staying in Montreat Conference Center or Montreat College housing, please include the new gender breakdown of your group and the estimated number of rooms needed. If you are staying in private housing, it is your responsibility to contact your housing facility separately if any changes are necessary.

You will forfeit $50 per person if you cancel a conference registration before the 60-day deadline.
After the 60-day deadline, no refunds will be issued.

If you are staying in Montreat Conference Center housing and need to cancel, you will forfeit an additional $50 per person if you cancel before the 60-day deadline (above). After the 60-day deadline, no refunds will be issued and any unused rooms will be charged the single rate for six nights.

If you are staying in Montreat College housing and need to cancel, you will need to email Montreat College at summerhousing@montreat.edu.

Kiss the ground, you made it! Then come see us at conference registration which takes place at Upper Anderson in Montreat from 3:00–7:00 p.m. on the Sunday of your conference. There is no late registration.

Want to begin your group’s MYC experience with a mindset of mission? Sign up your group to spend Sunday with Asheville Youth Mission (a program of Youth Mission Co). AYM leaders will host a “pre-conference” experience from 9am to 3pm that includes mixers, interactive simulations, guest speakers, group discussion, artistic reflection, and exploration of our call to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God. Groups will consider their home context and how they can live differently in it when their week at Montreat is over.

Sunday Montreat Mission Experience is $25/participant. Sunday MME does not include lunch, but you may pre-order and purchase box lunches from Montreat for $11 per person.

Wednesday Montreat Mission Experience will still be offered, and includes your group volunteering at a local agency from 2-4pm on Wednesday afternoon. Cost is $15/person

You must register more than 60 days before your expected service date. Your Mission Experience registration will not be processed after the 60-day deadline unless express permission from AYM is given to you.

We require at least one fully registered adult per group and recommend one registered adult chaperone for every six youth that attend the conference. We encourage all adult advisors to register as full participants and take part in Small Groups, Keynote, Recreation, and Worship to provide a more complete, fulfilling conference experience. However, in order to accommodate needs of groups who bring extra adults to function as cooks, drivers, etc., wristbands will be available for purchase, on-site, at registration or in the conference office during the week. Please bring cash, credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or Discover), or separate check (payable to Montreat Conference Center).

College-aged young adults are invited to assist the Planning Team behind the scenes in recreation events by participating in MYC Alums (formerly known as Work Crew). Interested persons need to register, pay conference fee, travel, and lodge with their Back Home Group. In addition to assisting our Recreation Leaders in pulling off recreation for the conference, these full conference participants will be led by a knowledgeable leader who will help them learn about the theology of play as they support this cornerstone of youth conferences. They have their own duties, devotions, and discussions during each day, led by the Recreation Crew Leader.

No application for MYC Alums is needed. There will be an opportunity to “declare” MYC Alums participants during on-site registration as well as on the MyMontreat database before your arrival.

Please Note: We will not be offering MYC Alums during Week 6.

The Montreat Youth Conferences are designed for high school students, entering freshmen through graduated seniors. You may register children who are not attending the conference for the Montreat Clubs & Child Care program. This program is available for children ranging from six months to 12th grade. Evening child care is available for children six months to completed first grade. Enrollment is limited. You must pre-register for this program to guarantee your space. You may also purchase a “Recreation Only” wristband for $10 at on-site registration so children may attend evening activities with your group.

The Conference Covenant, Locator Form, and mymontreat.org will be ready and available to you on April 1. Thank you for your patience and understanding as our staff work to update paperwork and online systems.

If you are 21 or older and can contribute some part of your summer, keep reading! Small Group Leaders provide critical guidance for the heart of the Youth Conference, the small group (approx. 25-30 people). Small Group Leaders (SGLs) receive FREE room, board, and travel, but they also expend lots of time and energy. The required training is the Sunday morning before the conference. If you are a back home leader the same week that you are selected to be an SGL, be sure you have plenty of other adults to chaperone your group!

Better yet, come some other week of the summer so you can devote your full energy to the conference! If you are interested in applying to be a small group leader for the Youth Conferences, call 828.419.9833. Applications will be available after the first of the year. All Small Group Leaders must be members of congregations that are members of the World Communion of Reformed Churches (for a listing of member churches, visit www.wcrc.ch).
