Explore the Intersection of Faith and Creativity

Posted on

This summer, Montreat Conference Center invites guests to engage in meaningful exploration and dialogue through its Arts, Music, and Theology lecture series. Organized by Montreat’s arts, music, and theology cohort, this three-evening program celebrates the rich connections between creative expression, intellectual inquiry, and faith. Each event offers an opportunity to consider how diverse disciplines can deepen our understanding of the world and enrich our spiritual lives.

The 2026 series will feature thoughtful discussions on topics including mathematics, worship liturgy, and psychology. Drawing from their personal experiences as well as their professional expertise, each lecturer will share unique insights into their field, demonstrating how art, music, theology, and other areas of study intersect in unexpected and meaningful ways. Through these conversations, attendees will gain a broader perspective on the relationships between knowledge, creativity, and belief.

It is our hope that these events give members of the Montreat community a chance to learn, reflect, and connect over shared interests. Whether you are a longtime visitor to Montreat or are discovering the conference center for the first time, these programs offer a chance to engage with compelling ideas and hear inspiring personal stories from other members of the Montreat community.

Admission to all three events is free, and the programs are open to the public. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate in these enriching summer conversations.

Those interested in discovering additional programs and events throughout the season are encouraged to subscribe to This Week in Montreat, the conference center’s seasonal publication highlighting upcoming events across the Montreat valley. It’s a great way to stay informed and make the most of a summer filled with learning, creativity, and community.
